Directions from the Gaithersburg Marriott Washingtonian Center to NCI Shady Grove Campus (1.0 miles)
After exiting the hotel, turn right and proceed up the drive to Washingtonian Boulevard. Turn left onto Washingtonian Boulevard. After approximately 0.6 miles, turn left onto Fields Road and then continue straight to stay on Omega Drive, which becomes Medical Center Drive. The NCI Shady Grove Campus will be on your right.

Shuttle from the Gaithersburg Marriott Washingtonian Center to NCI Shady Grove Campus
The hotel is running a dedicated, round-trip shuttle for the CISNET attendees from the hotel to NCI Shady Grove Campus. Please note that there will be a 15 minute loading time prior to the departure times listed below from the venue and the hotel to ensure that guests do not miss the shuttle. You will receive a copy of the shuttle schedule when you check into the hotel.

Public Transportation—Shady Grove Metro to NCI Shady Grove Campus
To get to the NCI Shady Grove Campus via the Metro, take the Red Line to the Shady Grove stop, which is the terminal station. Exit the Metro Station on the “Kiss and Ride” side. Look for signs for the NCI Shady Grove shuttle.

Two shuttle buses will depart from the Shady Grove Metro station at 6:00 a.m. and 6:15 a.m., respectively. During commuting times from 6:00 to 9:30 a.m. and 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., service runs every 15 minutes. Between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., shuttle service is every 30 minutes. The last shuttle leaves the NCI campus for the Metro at 6:45 p.m. The NCI Shady Grove Metro shuttle will pick up passengers on the I-370 side of the Metro; exit the train and go down the escalator, then turn right. The NCI Shady Grove Shuttle will be across the street in the Kiss and Ride lot; look for the NCI Shuttle signs.
There also is a shuttle that runs from the main lobby of Building 31 on the NIH Main Campus to NCI Shady Grove every thirty minutes between 7:15 a.m. and 6:45 p.m.

Metro Information: The Metro system is undergoing upgrades, which may affect your travel. To view the work schedule, visit www.wmata.com/rail/safetrack.cfm. To view daily travel advisories, visit www.wmata.com/rider_tools/metro_service_status. During the system upgrades, Metro is operating from 5:00 a.m. to midnight Monday through Friday and 7:00 a.m. to midnight on Saturday and Sunday. Each passenger must purchase a fare card to travel in the system. Guides for purchasing fare cards are posted on the vending machines in each station. Each Metro car features a complete color-coded map of the system, also available at www.wmata.com/rail/maps/map.cfm. Attendants on duty at each station can provide additional information on request.
Directions by Car to NCI Shady Grove Campus
From south of Rockville using I-270, take exit 8 toward Shady Grove Road. Keep left on the exit ramp, and at the end of the ramp, turn left at the light onto Shady Grove Road heading west. Get into the right lane and turn right onto Key West Avenue (MD 28 W). Turn left at the next light onto Medical Center Drive. Turn right onto Blackwell Road, and turn right again into the NCI employee parking garage. Visitors can have their parking ticket validated at the guard station inside the main lobby.
From north of Rockville using I-270, take exit 8 and keep right to take the Omega Drive ramp. At the stop sign, turn left and continue on Omega Drive, which turns into Medical Center Drive. Turn right onto Blackwell Road, and turn right again into the NCI employee parking garage. Visitors can have their parking ticket validated at the guard station inside the main lobby.
NCI Visitor Parking
Visitors to the NCI Shady Grove Campus should park in the NCI Shady Grove garage, which is directly across from the campus building. Visitor parking tickets can be validated at the guard station in the lobby after a visitor has signed in.
Security
You will be required to go through NIH security to enter NCI Shady Grove. Your name will be on a list at the security desk immediately to the right as you enter the building. You will need to show a valid, government-issued photo ID (usually a driver’s license or a passport). All persons and belongings will go through a metal detector upon arrival. If you go out of the building during the day and return, the security guard may let you bypass the scanner. However, when you return the next day you must again register at the security desk and go through the scanner.
Internet Access
Free and open wireless internet access is available in the NCI building.
Meeting Dates/Times and Room Locations
**Registration will take place in the front entry hall of NCI Shady Grove after you pass the security checkpoint.**
Guide to Room Numbers at NCI Shady Grove: The first character represents the floor (T, 1–7) and the second is the wing of the building (East and West). T is the terrace level, which is the lowest level in the building. The final number is the room number.
