Training has become an increasingly important tool in preparing and equipping professionals to address complex environmental and health problems. Quality training is needed to increase understanding of current and emerging problems, and the best innovative training methods should be employed to improve our Nation’s ability to address and prevent these problems.
Using the best combination of traditional training approaches and innovative training techniques, such as videoconferencing and computer-based training, SCG staff assess training needs, design and develop training curricula and materials, deliver training courses, design evaluation instruments, and evaluate training programs. SCG offers our clients the added savings of packaging our training programs so that they can be delivered by new instructors in the future. SCG has extensive experience evaluating a variety of training programs. We take great pains to go beyond simple evaluation of trainee satisfaction. Our evaluations, whenever possible, include followup with an assessment of actual job performance improvement to determine impact, if any, the training had on the trainee’s performance.
