Conferences, meetings, and symposia are primary methods of communicating the latest developments in scientific research, advances in the state-of-the-science, and the progress achieved for various programs and initiatives. Environmental and health sciences and technologies are advancing at an amazing rate—certainly faster than the published literature can accommodate. These forums play a critical role in disseminating knowledge on the cutting edge and allowing scientists and managers to share and discuss their experiences, concerns, and lessons learned. Meetings and workshops also are used by organizations to identify critical needs and problems, to develop consensus on research and program agendas, and to evaluate research/program progress and results.
SCG provides a full array of conference support from the earliest planning stage to preparation and dissemination of meeting summaries to followup evaluation. SCG understands that conferences are specialized, concentrated information exchange events that require meticulous planning and coordination. Our goal is to provide every element of support necessary to ensure an effective meeting.
SCG staff have planned and managed meetings ranging from small working groups of half a dozen specialized experts to large national and international conferences of more than 2,500 participants.
