REGISTRATION
This is a very special alert about registration: Most of the second
day of the Conference will be dedicated to having three separate and distinctively
different discussion sessions. All Fellows are required during the registration
process to pick the discussion session that they wish to join, based on the different
topics and their particular research area. Because seating for each session is limited,
those who register early get the best choice of the discussion group in which they
wish to participate. Once a session is filled, late registrants will be assigned
to the remaining discussion groups.
Important: you are required to develop a poster presentation of
your research activity to date in an electronic file form according to a special
template that will be provided to you. The deadline for submitting your poster in
e-file format is May 31, 2009.
Because our requirement for the request of a poster, abstract, face photo, and release form fall within your Fellowship funding period, we expect you to complete the registration process for the 2009 Fellowship Conference. We realize that your Fellowship may end in August, or thereabouts, however, we will still need you to register to help us prepare the Program Guide for the September Conference.
In order to keep a current and accurate tally of Fellows who will be attendees and those who will not; we have provided a field on the registration page that you can check if you will not be attending because you will graduate before the 2009 Fellowship Conference.
The reason for the latter request is because there are a number of Fellows who will be attending the September Conference because they are intrigued with the relevant panel topics even though their Fellowships are ending in August.
Anyone who falls into this category and has residual funds in their expense accounts and they would like to use that money in order to attend the September Fellowship Conference, please let us know because we can give you a one month no-cost extension in order for you to attend the Conference.
The
poster and head shot will be featured in the Program Guide. Fellows do not have to present a poster at the conference.
Posters will be viewed online by participants. The EPA Communication Staff will select approximately 20
posters to be displayed at the reception. EPA staff will produce the selected posters for the reception.
Further details will follow.
