POSTER ABSTRACT SUBMISSION FOR THE EPA SCIENCE FORUM TECHNOLOGY EXPO

Guidelines:

If you would like to submit an Abstract for the EPA Science Forum, the deadline for submission is Friday, January 25, 2008.  The guidelines about the Abstract submission process can be found on the EPA Science Forum Web Site at: http://www.epa.gov/scienceforum/call-tech.htm. Go to the “Call for Technologies” section on the left side of the page for information. Information about the EPA Science Forum Technology Expo can also be found at the Fellow Forum Web Site at: http://www.epa.gov/ncer/fellow/forum.

Before you apply, you must determine if your research is relevant. Please see the EPA Science Forum Fellowship tracks below.  If you find your research is relevant to one of these tracks, please first apply by sending your Abstract to Ms. Emma Roach at:  roach.emma@epa.gov and cc: Gladys Cobbs-Green at: cobbs-green.gladys@epa.gov and Ted Just at: just.ted@epa.gov no later than Friday, January 25, 2008.  It is also important to notify Emma, Ted, and Gladys if your poster is accepted by the Science Forum so that you can be highlighted in the 2008 EPA/AAAS Graduate Fellowship Program Expo Program Guide. 

Fellows conducting relevant research are encouraged to submit a poster for the EPA Science Forum Technology Expo.

The Forum will focus on the following three tracks:

  • Technology Advances and Future Directions, including sessions on environmental monitoring, clean technologies, air pollution control and more
  • Energy, Climate, and the Environment, with emphasis on Agency activities in the areas of energy, climate change and the environment…all priority focus areas of the EPA Administrator
  • Water Systems Infrastructure and Security, introducing technical solutions to improve the Nation’s aging water and wastewater infrastructure and advancements in water protection and security.
